day one.

I spend my weekdays as a copywriter for a custom publishing company. This is a recent career change for me, but so far I am enjoying constant deadlines and carefully crafting articles. Every day is a challenge, which is sometimes frustrating but mostly serves as motivation to write better.

Before I was hired to work in publishing, my time was dedicated to finishing school and working as a sales assistant for a company you may or may not have heard of: Fossil.

In 2006, Fossil decided to open a new store in Chattanooga, Tennessee. To this day, I still do not understand their choice. The mall itself wasn't exactly leading the way in innovation or up-and-coming brands. I was chosen, with a group of other people about my age, to help open the store and establish the brand in Chattanooga.

Four years have gone by (almost to the day), and even though I commit at least forty hours a week to my primary job, I still work part-time at Fossil. I just can't let it go. And since the beginning of my tenure there, the company and design concepts have changed dramatically—and for the better. The new fall catalog just arrived in the mailbox this week, and I have to say that it's been my favorite so far. I'm so excited to devote my extra spending (i.e. fashion) money to adding some of the autumn pieces into my wardrobe.

A large percentage of my closet is made up of Fossil clothes, and I decided to start this blog to show my interpretation of items I've gathered over the past four years. Enjoy.
